History Time Query

Run a History Time query to view all the movements of a vehicle within a specific time period.

Required input fields are outlined in red.

1.     Click History from the top menu.

2.     In the Search By field, click the drop-down arrow to choose Time. Time is all the movements of a vehicle within a selected time period.

3.     Choose the User(s) or Group(s) radio button. Use the Shift and/or Ctrl keys to select multiple users. However, Group(s) will only allow a single selection.

4.     Click the drop-down arrows in the time areas of the From and To fields to choose specific day(s) and time(s).

5.     Click Include Non-GPS position to include positions transmitted without GPS assistance.

6.     Click Display History to create your search results. Search results will include any hard mount diagnostics data, such as temperature sensor values and alerts, or diagnostic codes.

7.     Next to the zoom tool, choose Map or Satellite to customize the view.

The map will display a pictorial view of the vehicle's movement. The grid will display historical GPS position data for the vehicle, including odometer value, speed and address for each position recorded.

Positions are indicated by a circle icon. Multiple status position indicators in an area mean that the vehicle has been in the same location during multiple position submissions, or stopped for a long period of time. Double-click on a map position for a close-up view.

Zoom in on the map by scrolling the mouse scroll wheel forward, or zoom out by scrolling the mouse wheel backward.

Additionally, you can right click on a map position to create a landmark if your query returned history data.

8.     Click Export to CSV at the top of the screen to export and save the search results to a csv file.

History Playback

Use the History Playback button at the top of the User History Search screen to view an animated display of a user's movements on the map. After you run a search, choose a listing from the results and click Start Playback.

A media player dialog displays below the map, showing the date and time of your selection. Use the reverse, pause and forward buttons to control the movement, or choose Stop Playback to stop the animation. Also, you can control the speed of the playback by clicking on the Speed drop-down on the player.
