History Trip Query

Run a History trip query to view information about all trips taken by users or groups.

Required input fields are outlined in red.

1.     Click History from the top menu.

2.     In the Search By field, click the drop-down arrow to choose Trip. Trip is the time period from one ignition start up to shut down.

3.     Choose the User(s) or Group(s) radio button. Use the Shift and/or Ctrl keys to select multiple users. However, Group(s) will only allow a single selection.

4.     In the From and To fields, choose a specific time and date for your query.

5.     Check Include Non-GPS position to include positions transmitted without GPS assistance.

6.     Click Display History to display a listing of trips for the user. The Select Trip dialog displays.

7.     When the Select Trip dialog displays, choose a trip to view. The query results will display on the map.

8.     Click Export to CSV at the top of the screen to export and save the search results to a csv file.

The map view displays the vehicle's movement. The grid displays historical position data for vehicle, including odometer value, speed and address for each GPS position recorded.

Positions are indicated by a red circle icon. Multiple status position indicators in an area mean that the vehicle has been in the same location during multiple position submissions, or stopped for a long period of time. Double-click on a position on the grid for a close-up view of the vehicle's location.

Zoom in on the map by scrolling the mouse wheel forward, or zoom out by scrolling the mouse wheel backward.

Additionally, you can right click on a map position to create a landmark if your query returned history data.

History Playback

Use the History Playback button at the top of the User History Search screen to view an animated display of a user's movements on the map. After you run a search, choose a listing from the results and click Start Playback.

A media player dialog displays below the map, showing the date and time of your selection. Use the reverse, pause and forward buttons to control the movement, or choose Stop Playback to stop the animation. Also, you can control the speed of the playback by clicking on the Speed drop-down on the player.
