Before you begin any troubleshooting steps, ensure that your vehicle is manufactured based on the OBDII North American protocol. This means that it will be compatible with your tracking device.
See the DashTrac website for information on OBDII compatibility for your vehicle. If your vehicle is not listed, contact sales@comettracker.com.
Perform the following steps first if you are having trouble with your device:
· Check power to the OBDII connector - see your vehicle's operations manual for instructions
· Ensure that the device is properly connected
· If necessary, install the device in another vehicle to test function
· Check for normal LED activity
· After the device is enabled, check the web application to see if it displays on the map, or is listed in one of the grid areas (Live View, History, etc.)
