Standard Forms

Standard forms are used to record simple work-related information on a device. Standard forms differ from advanced forms in complexity and length. Additionally, the number of additional sub-forms, or child forms, that you can create, is limited in standard forms.

The information you want the user to record determines how you design your standard form. For example, if a handset user is going on a service call, you can create forms and add fields for the user to complete at the client site. These fields can have any title you want, such as vehicle number, parts used, part numbers, etc. Or, you may want the user to enter identification information upon clock in or clock out. You can:

·    Create/modify a standard form

·    Manage a standard form

On the Forms Management screen, choose Add, and then Standard to create standard forms for display on the handset. A maximum of ten (10) fields are available for standard forms.

Or, to work with an existing form, click its Manage or Edit icon under the Action column.

Default Forms

Default forms are a type of standard form. A default form is assigned to every device, and exists in the forms list on the device or handset so that the user can create forms. You can make changes to fields on a default form, but you cannot delete it or re-assign users to whom it has been assigned. Hence, the Manage and Delete icons in the Actions column are disabled for default forms.
