Adding a Speed Alert

1.     Click on the Alerts menu option at the top of the screen, and choose Speed.

2.     From the top right corner, choose Add.

3.     Choose Enabled if you would like for the alert to be effective immediately.

4.     Create a name for the alert in the Alert Name field.

5.     Enter a description for the alert in the Description field.

6.     To monitor the speed of your tracking users only, click the My Tracking Users checkbox.

7.     Click the drop-down arrow in the User field to select from a list of users to monitor, or type user names directly into the field.

Additionally, you can click the X at the end of a user name to delete an individual user, or click the X at the end of the field to delete all users from the list. Currently inactive users that you select will display with a circular red indicator.

8.     Click the drop-down arrow in the Groups field to choose from a list of groups to monitor, or type group names directly into the field. Additionally, you can click the X at the end of a group name to delete a group, or click the X at the end of the field to delete all groups from the list.

9.     Click the radio button to select a Speed Alert Type. Choose from:

·     Manual (you set a greater than or equal to speed limit value)

·    Posted Speed Limit (speed limit according to the map service data; however, if the speed limit is indeterminable, the value in the mph field will be added to the map's street limit to determine a violation)

Note that the speed limit per the map may vary; it may not be accurate in all locations.

10.  Enter a numeric value in the mph and positions fields.

For example, if you set the miles per hour (mph) value to 50, and the position value to 2, an alert will be triggered if the tracking user's speed is greater than 50 mph for 2 or more GPS positions.

11.  Set the Start Time and End Time for the alert, and choose the days on which the alert will be enabled.

12.  To send alert notifications to individuals, enter the email addresses, separated by commas, in the Send notifications to these emails field.

13.  Click Save.

14.  Or, click on Export at the top of the screen to export the grid data to a csv file. You will be prompted to open the file, save it, or cancel. The grid report data will be sorted in numerical order by user.
