You can set up timeout alerts to activate when a user's device has stopped transmitting positions. For example, if you have configured a device to send positions only within the hours of the second shift, you can set an alert to activate if the device does not transmit a position within <X> minutes of 3:00 p.m. Additionally, this alert is useful in determining if a device is off, stopped, or not functioning properly.
Timeout is located under the Alerts menu item at the top. The option displays as a customizable grid.
On the Transmission Timeout Alerts grid, the following information displays:
Enabled/Disabled status |
Effective Times/Days for the Alert |
Alert Name |
Users Affected by Alert |
Alert Owner |
Groups Affected by Alert |
Threshold Data |
Email Notification Recipients |
Use the tools in the Action column to modify or delete alert information.
