Edit Tracking User

You can modify details about devices being tracked by the application. The Edit Tracking User dialog displays when you select Edit from the User View screen for tracking users. Required fields are outlined in red.

 

Screen options depend on the type of device you select:

 

Device/Handset User

·    CT Lite

·    mComet

 

Hard Mount User

·    Standard Hard Mount

·    Temperature Sensor

·    TTU

 

CT Lite

Required fields are outlined in red.

1.     Enter the User Name and User #.

2.     Click on the color displayed to choose a color for the user. This color will display for the user on the map.

3.     Enter a numerical value, in seconds, for how often the device should get positions.

4.     Enter a value to indicate how many positions should be sent at once.

5.     Set the Start Time and End Time for the tracking, and choose the active tracking days.

6.     Choose a time zone for the device.

7.     Complete the Phone Number field.

8.     From the listing, use the mouse and Shift or Ctrl keys to select users to apply your previous settings to, and click Apply.

9.     Click Save.

mComet

Required fields are outlined in red.

1.     Enter the User Name and User #.

2.     Click on the color displayed to choose a color for the user. This color will display for the user on the map.

3.     Enter a numerical value, in seconds, for how often the device should get positions.

4.     Enter a value to indicate how many positions should be sent at once.

5.     Set the Start Time and End Time for the tracking, and choose the active tracking days.

6.     Choose a time zone for the device.

7.     Complete the Phone Number field.

8.     Choose the type of device in the Type field.

9.     Enter the email address that will be used for messaging on the handset.

10.  In the Push Address field, enter the push address for the handset.

11.  Check or uncheck the Enable Messaging checkbox.

12.  Check or uncheck the Use speed from device checkbox. 

13.  From the listing, use the mouse and Shift or Ctrl keys to select users to apply your previous settings to, and click Apply.

14.  For handsets installed with mComet, enter the application version in the mComet application version field.

15.  Click Save.

Standard Hard Mount

1.     Enter the User Name and User #.

2.     Click on the color displayed to choose a color for the user. This color will display for the user on the map.

3.     Click the drop down arrow in the Time Zone field and choose a time zone.

4.     In the fields that follow, enter or change the information about the vehicle fitted with the device. Note that odometer information is changed at every GPS position request. 

Serial # and Last IP address cannot be modified.

5.     Select a sensor configuration for the user.

6.     Click Save.

Temperature Sensor

Required fields are outlined in red.

 

1.     Enter the User Name and User #.

2.     Click on the color displayed to choose a color for the user. This color will display for the user on the map.

Device Settings tab

3.     Click the drop down arrow in the Time Zone field and choose a time zone.

4.     In the fields that follow, enter or change the information about the vehicle fitted with the device. Note that odometer information is changed at every GPS position request. 

Serial #, Remaining Battery and Last IP address cannot be modified.

5.     Check or uncheck Enable Fast Track Mode to send positions to the device faster, and specify the intervals in the Track Every drop-down list(s). Users with fast track mode pending or enabled will be highlighted on the grid in Live View.

6.     Select a sensor configuration for the user.

 

Temperature Config tab

If the hard mount has been configured for monitoring temperatures within a vehicle container, the Temperature Config tab will display on the dialog. You may enter up to eight (8) sensors and temperature ranges.

7.     In the first Sensor Location field, enter the vehicle location that the first sensor will monitor - for example, Freezer 1. You may enter up to eight (8) locations.

8.     Enter a temperature value for the highest allowable temperature in Fahrenheit notation, and then repeat using the lowest value in the Low Temperature field. If you leave the temperature fields blank, only the current temperature will be reported.

9.     Use the minus key to delete a sensor, and the plus key to add more sensors.

10.  Click Save.

TTU

1.     Enter the User Name and User #.

2.     Click on the color displayed to choose a color for the user. This color will display for the user on the map.

3.     Use the drop-down listing to choose a numerical value for the number of positions the hard mount should transmit per day.

4.     Choose up to four (4) times of day that positions will be requested from the hard mount.

5.     Choose a time zone for the hard mount.

Serial #, Remaining Battery and Last IP address cannot be modified.

6.     Check or uncheck Enable Fast Track Mode to send positions to the device faster, and specify the intervals in the Track Every drop-down list(s). Users with fast track mode pending or enabled will be highlighted on the grid in Live View.

7.     Click Save.
